Treasurer's Responsibilities
The Collector/Treasurer's Division is responsible for the collection of all monies due to the City including:
- Real Estate Taxes
- Personal Property
- Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes
- Departmental Receipts
- Sewer Bills
- Parking Tickets
- Municipal Lien Certificates
The office of the Treasurer is responsible for the receipt, investment, and disbursement of all City funds, billing and collection of all taxes, and issuance of municipal lien certificates.
The Treasurer's office receives all monies which come into the City, pays all bills, including payroll; is responsible for the administration of the employee's health and life insurance programs; works with the Assessor and Auditors to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the City's finances.
